Python Boot Camp Fall 2015

August 19, 2015 to August 21, 2015
8:30am to 5:00pm
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
Get Directions

The purpose of the boot camp is to introduce the basics of the Python language to those already familiar with other computing languages (e.g., C, Java, FORTRAN, and Lisp). The boot camp is a mixture of formal lectures, in-class demos, coding breakout sessions for participants, and homework projects.

The camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day and is open to anyone within the UC Berkeley and LBNL community. A small fee to offset the costs will be collected at the time of official registration. There will be a limited number of slots open to industry participants.

Interest Form and Registration

This is not a computer science class; you must understand basic computer science concepts (e.g., looping, recursion, pointers, etc.) prior to attendance. To ensure you have the requisite knowledge base, you must fill out an interest form. If you meet the course requirements, we will follow up with a formal registration invitation.
