Topic: The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) survey will make a 3D map of the universe by measuring the locations of 25 million galaxies, stars, and quasars starting in 2018. I will describe our data processing pipeline and algorithmic challenges for turning the raw data into useful data for science analyses.

BIDS Tea is hosted on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
At each event, an invited person or group will spend 5–10 minutes discussing a data science project or problem followed by time for discussion and networking.
