Ben Nachman to host Berkeley Lab Physics Division's new Machine Learning Group Meeting

November 5, 2020

BIDS Research Affiliate Ben Nachman will host the Berkeley Lab Physics Division's Machine Learning Group Meeting, a new informal meeting series to discuss research at the intersection of fundamental physics and machine learning.

Meetings will be held biweekly on Thursdays at 1:00-2:00 PM starting on November 5, 2020. Members of the Berkeley Lab and campus and communities who are interested in hearing about or working on developing, adapting, or deploying machine learning techniques in fundamental physics are welcome to participate.

This new series is being presented by Berkeley Lab’s Physics Division Machine Learning group, a cross-cutting effort that connects researchers who develop, adapt, and deploy artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions to fundamental physics challenges across various areas of high energy physics, including theory.

For more information, and to sign up for this series’ mailing list, please contact Ben Nachman (bpnachman@lbl.gov).
