Dear BIDS Community,
The often-cited shortage of data science and data analysis expertise takes on new urgency with the pandemic and growing number of confirmed COVID-19 cases. BIDS has been working with multiple units at UC Berkeley, for example, the School of Public Health and the other parts of the Division of Computing, Data Science, and Society, to determine how best to bring our community’s expertise to bear. As soon as possible, we will provide information about research needs that we are prepared to fill and the data science and analysis capabilities that we can make available.
