This article features BIDS Senior Fellow Philip Stark and how students in one of his graduate courses reviewed an open-access paper on ScienceOpen. The students replicated the results of a published paper, finding some minor errors in the paper and then making suggestions for improvement. In the course of the project, the students also were all registered with ORCID, posted their own replication code in Jupyter notebooks on GitHub, published their reviews on ScienceOpen, and received DOIs for their work.
