Innovate For Health

The Innovate For Healthinitiative (I4H) was launched in June 2019 as a collaboration between BIDS at UC Berkeley, the Bakar Computational Health Sciences Institute (BCHSI) at UCSF, and Janssen Research & Development, LLC (part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson), who together launched the Data Science Health Innovation Fellowship Program to recruit data scientists for high-impact, data-driven healthcare research.  The fellowship provides successful applicants with 2 years of financial support to develop and execute health-related translational research that optimizes data-driven discovery using vast healthcare datasets and addresses currently unmet patient needs.  BIDS Health and Life Sciences Lead Maryam Vareth is Co-Director at Berkeley. See of list of current list of I4H Data Science Health Innovation Fellows in BIDS' online directory.
