The Innovate For Health program was initiated in June 2019 as a collaboration between BIDS at UC Berkeley, the Bakar Computational Health Sciences Institute (BCHSI) at UCSF, and Janssen Research & Development, LLC (part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson), who together launched the Data Science Health Innovation Fellowship, a new fellowship program to recruit data scientists for high-impact, data-driven healthcare research. The fellowship provides successful applicants with 2 years of financial support to develop and execute health-related translational research that optimizes data-driven discovery using vast healthcare datasets and addresses currently unmet patient needs. For more information about the program and how to apply, visit the Data Science Health Innovation Fellowship website.
