Igor Chirikov is the Senior Researcher and the Director of the Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) Consortium and the Center for Studies in Higher Education, Goldman School of Public Policy. The Consortium is a community of leading research-intensive universities that increase student success by generating and analyzing comparative data on the student experience. The SERU Consortium has accumulated over 1.5 million survey responses from students in the United States and internationally. Throughout his career, Chirikov has successfully balanced research, teaching, and senior leadership roles in higher education. His current research involves student experience and learning outcomes, the use of technology in universities and international comparative higher education. He has experience in designing and implementing large-scale international research projects in higher education, including randomized controlled trials. His papers have been published in Science Advances, Nature Human Behaviour, PNAS, Studies in Higher Education, Educational Researcher, and other journals.
