Yasmin is a postdoctoral scholar in software curation in the University Library, where her research focuses on reproducibility and software curation. She works closely with the Research Data Management team at UC Berkeley on different projects to provide support for the research activities in the campus. Yasmin is a member of Reimagining IT Working Group on Core Research, Teaching and Learning (RTL) Services at UC Berkeley, which focuses on framing out goals and strategies related to RTL technology and recommending services to be included in the strategic plan for campus IT. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Old Dominion University. Her dissertation handled integrating "storytelling" social media and Web archiving to understand historical events of Web archived collections.
